It is said that the salary you get for a job is more important than your feelings about it, whether you enjoy it or not. I think that's an antique idea taken from the elder generations.
Some years ago, parents used to tell their children to go for a job in which they would earn a lot of money. It was all that mattered: have a good salary, find a women, get married, have children and always have enough money to feed them. Of course it is important to earn a proper amount of money because everybody needs it to survive. Nowadays we are bound to it.
However, there's another point of view which seems much clearer to me: the modern one. Today it is said that satisfaction is more important than salary. I totally agree with that, maybe because I'm young and society made me believe it but I think it's more than that. We're condemned to waste our lives working, so at least we should try to make the best out of it. At least in my case I'd prefer to be poor and enjoy most days of my life than to earn a fortune doing a job which makes me unhappy and then try to escape from it once a year on a long and expensive holiday.
In the moment we die we won't be able to take any backage with us, what about all the money we earned and saved then? The only thing we can take with us on the last journey are memories, so we should try to have a beautiful memory of everyday of our lives.
